1. Run (Double Click) the installer for Spybot. This is the file you downloaded from their website.

2. The first screen you will get is the Welcome screen. Click next to continue the installation.

3. The second screen you will see is the License Agreement screen. You should read the license agreement. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click the button next to "I accept". Once you have accepted the license agreement you will be able to click next to continue the installation.

4. Next you will see the Install Location screen. Most of the time you can just click next, but if you want to install the software to a different location you will need to select the new location before clicking on next.

5. Next you have the Select Components screen. Here you can select some of the optional components to install. Once you have decided on your options click next to continue.

6. Next is the Select Program Group screen. This is where you can pick which folder the Spybot group goes into. Most of the time you can just click next to continue.

7. Next you can select additional tasks that the Spybot install can perform. If you would like the optional icons on your desktop and quick launch just click next. Otherwise deselect the options you do not want and click next to continue.

8. Now that you've given the install program all of the info you'll see the Ready to Install screen. Click install to continue.

9. It will take a few minutes for the program to install. When it is done you'll see the Completing screen. Click finish to exit.

10. Open the program and make sure you install the updates before running a scan.
